Harry Styles / Pleasing at Coachella
Design development & fabrication
Pleasing arrived at Coachella with a bright, psychedelic visual world and plans for a 20 x 40-foot pop-up. Working with My Beautiful City and Sun.NY.Side Up, PBZ developed the spatial and technical side of the experience, turning a tightly defined look and feel into a buildable structure with a clear guest flow, workable ballast and enough resilience for two weekends in the desert.
The space opened into a colorful atrium for the queue, leading to a shaded nail bar, clothing shop and gifting area. PBZ fabricated the walls, furniture and dimensional graphics, including a layered foamcore facade developed from J Saint-Claire’s design. Hand-painted UV scenic kept everything bright by day, then came alive under blacklight after dark.
PBZ installed the build inside the festival grounds, designed it to withstand the Coachella heat and wind, and struck it after weekend two.
