The Vulture Spot Sundance ‘25
Creative development, interior design & installationFor the third year running, Vox and Vulture invited PBZ back to turn a Main Street gallery into The Vulture Spot, a private hospitality, interview and portrait space for festival talent. Vox creative director Kristina DiMatteo set the tone for 2025: winter luxury, using horizontal plywood slats as the starting point for a warm, polished environment.
The format had found its rhythm by year three. Guests arrived through an entrance photo moment, collected gifts and Casamigos hospitality, then settled into the lounge before moving into the video studio directed by Kenny Wassus and on to their portrait session. A dedicated Starbucks setting supported the three-part Vulture: In Conversation series.
PBZ took Vox’s mood, brand system and spatial prompts and developed each main area visually and practically. Renders, floorplans, material choices, furniture, props and custom signage turned the broad direction into an executable plan. The mirrored portrait studio arrived as a fully formed creative request, with PBZ sourcing the mirror panels and handling its installation.
Scenic Solutions supplied the temporary walls and installed the graphics, while PBZ managed rentals, propping, sponsor items, custom signage and our own load-in and strike. Across four days, the finished space hosted video interviews and portraits with festival talent, alongside Starbucks conversations with Alison Brie, Rose Byrne and Marlee Matlin.
