Yellowjackets ‘Feast of the Wild’

Concept development, experience design & fabrication
To celebrate season three of Yellowjackets, Eater and Paramount+ planned a one-night, five-course dinner that would bring the show’s wilderness to Los Angeles. The format was established, but the physical experience was still taking shape when Oma Loves Fun and Vox Creative brought in PBZ.

PBZ mapped the guest journey from the outside in. We developed creative direction across the exterior, entrance and interior vignettes, then refined the selected ideas through rounds of creative. Guests passed the custom exterior sign and entered a tunnel of real pine branches and logs, with scent, sound, lighting and projection transporting them from Hollywood into the woods. Much of the forest material came directly from our property in Frazier Park.

Inside, we created a cabin facade, a forest photo moment with a live camera feed, a vintage airplane seat that appeared to have fallen from the sky, custom distressed jackets, scenic props and decor throughout the venue. We also produced wax-heavy candle pieces around safe LED flames, working alongside the event’s floral team to carry the wilderness across the dinner tables.

The practical challenge was volume. We had to estimate enough foliage to turn the venue into a forest and melt enough wax to make dozens of safe candles feel convincingly used and ritualistic. PBZ fabricated every build element, then handled installation and strike.

More than 100 guests moved through the finished experience for a single dinner. By the time they sat down, Hollywood had disappeared into the woods.
